Deeper 24

I've got you hanging around my neck

I hope to see you next time I pass through

Forgiveness has taken a long, long damn time

But I release you. Could you forgive me, too?

Remember when we would drink champagne all night

after a movie we both had seen twice

I don't know how we could let it get this way

Let's let money hold it's own change

A backpack and watch and a sweet, sweet sound

playing in my head

I never saw it coming, no.

I did not see you as you followed me

I watched you as your life burned away in flame

A private showdown before the whole town

It played out in front of that holy entourage

Better was one day than letting grace pay

It's Been a Good Couple of Weeks

Greetings. 3 complete songs in the last week. "If the Wall", "A Stretch of Rope" and "The Bastard". I'm feeling pretty good and trying to keep it up. With some luck and continued work I'll have a new album before the year's end.

With friends like Steve Stewart, whose writing blog I follow, and the likes of Mary O'Neal, my constant critic et all, every word goes through the ringer. But it all starts in my headphones at the day job where I'm a 'Senior Designer'. Sometimes that sounds ridiculous.

As it is, I'm feeling like it's late and this blog is beginning on a whim. I think it will help to get things out of my head and in to binary. Perhaps it will make room for new thoughts and ramblings I can share on a daily basis. Wish me luck. Goodnight.
